Projects and Experience

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York.
A Green Building Renovation and Sustainable Practice Implementation project with the brotherhood of Delta Tau Delta and the 50 year old fraternity dormitory. Attempting LEED-EB certification.

Pasierb Residence, Patagonia, Arizona.
Constructed in 1997, this original Farbstein design was the first passive solar, two-story straw bale home in Southern Arizona.

 

Green Retailers Network, World Wide Web.
An on-line discussion group whose goal is to “promote sustainability in retail and the retailing of sustainability”. Currently 40 members and growing.

 

Habitat for Humanity affiliates, Arizona and Maine As a Construction Director and Executive Director, Farbstein was responsible for instituting sustainable construction and office practices and developing green building projects on several residential subdivisions and nearly 150 homes.
